recent projects include:
QIRMIZI a short film part of an investigation into the weight of context on an individual’s perception of personal identity and freedom, with the participation of artists and individuals from Azerbaijan, France, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, UK and the USA. My original idea was to portray a vision of a kind of utopia where harmony is temporarily possible in the shadows of entrenched geopolitical contexts.
- on going series of paintings and monoprints inspired by the literature of Clarice Lispector, particularly 'The Passion According to G.H.'
- 'Je t'aime, Moi Non Plus' post Brexit work, portraits of Europe
- series of works inspired by 'Ulysses' by James Joyce, includes the painting 'Jiggety Jiggety' shown at Studio 1.1 London in January 2017
- a project explorating the language of painterly gesture and identity, with the participation of 12 painters from the UK and 12 painters from Azerbaijan
